Quiet Beautiful and Spiritual!

Sometimes the people we love push us away to feel in control. And it hurts, deeply, because we never wanted distance in the first place.
But here’s what they don’t always see: in doing that, they’ve quietly relieved us of all responsibility. We no longer have to show up to things that drain us. We no longer have to defend our choices or shrink ourselves to keep the peace.
And when they need us someday, and they often do, we get to show up simply because we love them. Not because we owe it. Not out of guilt or obligation. Just love, freely given.
There’s something quietly beautiful and very spiritual about that kind of love. It asks nothing in return. It holds no score. It just waits, with an open hand rather than a clenched fist.
You didn’t lose your power when they shut you out. You got it back.
