BEE BEAUTIFUL — FROM THE INSIDE OUT

Being kind when people are kind to us is easy. The greater challenge is deciding who we will be when they aren’t.

When someone else’s cruelty changes us into someone cruel, we have given them power over our character. Kindness takes that power back. Kindness doesn’t mean accepting mistreatment. You can forgive and still have boundaries. You can wish someone well and no longer give them access to your life. You can walk away from disrespect without becoming disrespectful yourself.

A soft heart does not require a weak backbone.

Hurt has a way of traveling. Someone gets wounded, passes that hurt to another person, and the cycle continues. Until somebody decides:

“It stops with me.”

Maybe you will never know how far one gracious moment travels. A child remembers the adult who treated them with dignity. A discouraged person remembers the stranger who noticed them. Someone carrying a heavy burden remembers the person who offered kindness when there was nothing in it for them.

We don’t do good because goodness guarantees something in return. We do good because we get to decide what we put back into the world. Choose grace when bitterness would be easier. Choose kindness without keeping score.Choose boundaries without hatred.Choose goodness even when nobody applauds.

"The world changes every time someone decides not to pass the hurt along."

Bee the one who stops it.Bee the one who changes it. Bee Beautiful, from the inside out.

What if changing the world really does begin with what we choose to carry forward?
